A long time dream to get back into breeding started with one little green parrotlet girl named ‘Guava’ and ended with an entire flock and aviary…
Crystal was always known for having a way with birds. As a child growing up in Hawaii, she was known as the “bird girl” of the neighborhood. Because of this, every kid on the block knew where to take any lost or injured bird — they seemed to always end up at her door step.
With years of experience raising birds from parakeets, lovebirds (breeding), cockatiels to even her beloved African Grey; Crystal took a break from the bird world and soon realized she missed having a feathered friend.
Now as a mother of 3 and her oldest showing signs of having the same desire and passion for birds, Crystal did some research and adopted a little green parrotlet and named her Guava.
Guava stole the show. She slept in our hair, crawled in our shirts and enjoyed rides on our shoulders. What was supposed to be Crystal’s bird, quickly became her daughter, Nalani’s bird. Crystal would say, she happily stole Guava.
With much deliberation and discussion with Nalani, Crystal decided that it would be a great hobby and joy to breed birds with her children. What once was a dream to breed large birds, has now become a reality — on a smaller scale — one that her children share and help to train and enjoy.
Because all of our family is involved, you can be sure that all our birds are handled by all our family members. From our oldest 12 year old to even our 3 year old (who will surprise you with her ability to handle the birds)
Crystal is no stranger. If you have any questions or are interested in a loving bird to add to your family or flock, feel free to contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org or give her a call or text at 253-495-1730.
